Small-scale restoration…

Fixing up old toy cars is our new favourite thing to watch.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As children, we were somewhat… destructive. We weren’t acting out or anything, we just wanted a perfect little scrap yard for our Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. So we took to the ones we were bored of with a hammer. It was that, or we smushed them in our dad’s vice. This didn’t impress him.

Unamused fathers aside, we never thought that fixing toy cars would be something to grab our attention. More fool us, because as YouTuber, baremetalHW, goes to show, fixing up an old toy car is quite a marvellous thing. His channel is awash with videos in which he brings play-worn toys back from the brink of ending up in the 50p bucket at a car boot sale. This one, in which he restores a Matchbox Ferrari 250 GT, is our favourite. Let yourself get sucked into his world of steady hands, enviable attention to detail and one of the most calming voices on the internet.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
